This past Saturday my Dutchman and I went to Keukenhof Gardens in Lisse, here in the Netherlands, to check out the Spring. Despite being only a half-hour drive away from our house in Amsterdam we haven’t actually made it there before, and I’m so happy we finally went!
Saturday blessed us with beautiful sunshine, and we left our coats in the car on arrival at the gardens. Sander was carrying a backpack with a bottle of water and three of my floral kimonos so that we could take advantage of the gorgeous backdrops and take some pictures for Etsy. Within half a hour we had stuffed our cardigans and scarves into Sander’s backpack too, and I slipped on a kimono just for walking around in.
I can’t even tell you how much I enjoyed wearing my kimono in amongst the flowers! I kept going up to brightly-hued tulips and azaleas and saying to Sander, “Look! I match!”
So, we finally have some pictures of the kimonos I’ve been loving making this year, and I spent some time between naps on Sunday making the Etsy listings, so these are all available for purchase now, €40 each. Head on over and check them out here. Also good is that they fold flat and so can be posted as letters, making for cheap international postage too.
I hope you all will enjoy them (and the Spring) as much as I am xoxo
